Hello! My name is Sean Lohrer and I teach seventh and eighth grade English Language Arts here at Jefferson-Morgan Middle/High School. This year is my eighth year at J-M and my ninth in education; I previously practiced as a long-term substitute teacher at Ringgold Middle School.

In 2008, I earned my bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education: English from Slippery Rock University. I completed the first half of my student teaching experience at Chartiers Valley High School teaching eleventh grade American literature and twelfth grade world literature. I traveled abroad and completed the second half of my student teaching experience in Dublin, Ireland at St. Colmcille’s Community School.

In my spare time, I enjoy writing and reading (mainly nonfiction novels and essays), riding my bike, golfing, practicing to become the next Food Network star, traveling anywhere I can afford to, listening to Pearl Jam, and spending time with my wife.
