DO you like Nature? Are you a person who prefers the outdoors? Then you might be interested in joining the JMHS Envirothon Team! Sign up's are on the bulletin board near 215, the first meeting is Students work all year on their own, and meet once a month to collaborate and explore a new skill.
Topics include: Aquatics, Wildlife, Soils, Forestry, and a Current Issue. In May we compete with the county schools at a local park for scholarship prizes. See Mrs.Boyle or Mrs.Cox for more information or visit the bulletin board by 215.

Are you interested in Science and Engineering? Do you like to build things and see how they work? Then join the JMHS Science Olympiad Team. Students work all year on their selected events, and meet at least once a month to collaborate with their team members to develop their skills or build their apparatus!
Topics include: bridge building, aerodynamics and glider construction, oceanography, minerals, geologic maps, cell biology, disease detectives, anatomy and physiology. The team will compete with regional schools in March at Cal-U.Put your skills to the test! Stop down and see the bulletin board or talk to Mrs. Cox or Mrs. Kniha for more information.
