ALICE stands for Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter and Evacuate. It is based on the premise that information, authorization and proactive training are the key to surviving an Active Shooter event.
ALICE is NOT sequential nor is it meant to be a check list of things to do. It is a list of options that can be used to stay safe in the highly unlikely event of a violent intruder. As the situation develops, it is possible that students and staff will need to use more than one option.
ALICE provides options to students/staff. Staff can make the decision on the best option suited for the students in the classroom
