Algebra 1

Course Description

The eighth grade Algebra 1 course is an advanced level course for middle school students. The instruction for this course is fast paced and rigorous. Topics covered include: linear equations, equations of linear functions, linear inequalities, systems of linear equations and inequalities, quadratic expressions and equations, radical functions and geometry, rational functions and equations, and statistics and probability. The curriculum is aligned to the PA Keystone Assessments Anchors of mathematics. Students will be required to take the Keystone Algebra 1 Exam at the end of the course.
