This course examines the literary novel and its elements. Students will read, analyze, and interpret two novels during the course of the quarter. Students will study and utilize vocabulary lists for the selected texts, as well as employ their previous knowledge of literary elements to help them interpret the novels. Students will also have the opportunity to view film versions of the novels to compare and contrast the novels in a different medium. The novels that will be studied during the course of the quarter are A Wrinkle in Time and Tuck Everlasting.
