Hello! My name is Sean Lohrer and I teach eighth grade English Language Arts here at Jefferson-Morgan Middle/High School. This year is my twelth year at J-M and my thirteenth in education; I previously practiced as a long-term substitute teacher at Ringgold Middle School.

In 2008, I earned my bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education: English from Slippery Rock University. I completed the first half of my student teaching experience at Chartiers Valley High School teaching eleventh grade American literature and twelfth grade world literature. I also traveled abroad and completed the second half of my student teaching experience in Dublin, Ireland, at St. Colmcille’s Community School.

In my spare time, I enjoy writing and reading (mainly nonfiction novels and essays), riding my bike, golfing, cooking, traveling, listening to Pearl Jam, and spending time with my wife, Emily, son, Calvin, and daughter, Rooney.
