Nov. 29 - Dec. 8  Students are completing short story, A Retrieved Reformation, by O. Henry

* students will have an open book quiz on this story.

* Students will also be reading, The Gift of The Magi, by O.Henry

* Students will enhance vocabulary, complete plot diagrams, use descriptive writing, and 

   practice literary devices

Students will be reviewing previous weeks test, Raymond's Run

Students will be in the library doing a baseline CDT test

Students will be working on vocabulary enrichment

* Students will be introduced to new short story,  Raymond's Run p. 389

* Students will analyze dialect, theme, and details

* Students will be introduced to new vocabulary 

* The big picture - Students will learn how literary devices, irony, figurative language affect a writer's 

                              Style.
